Some of you will be aware of the wonderful work of my sister herbalist, next door neighbour and beloved friend, Anna Ulehla, who sadly passed away this past June, from a very rare condition that took her life far too soon.

Though her life was short, Anna lived life to the absolute full and taught her children to do the same.

All those close to her have learned such a lot from Anna, not only from her life and work, but also from her passing and her legacy.

It is my special privilege to have this opportunity to sell on her behalf some of the gorgeous products Anna created by her own hand.

The proceeds will be forwarded into a an account for the benefit of Anna's two precious children.

Some years ago, Anna and I had a coffee together and she laid out her plans for a community based herbalism programme. I absolutely LOVED her business model, which involved not only providing quality hand-crafted products, but teaching people to plant their own physic garden and learn to harvest and prepare their own medicines.

Living right next door to each other, we often consulted together and helped each other out. Anna also had a gift for mentoring and encouraging younger women, and had a real bond with my daughter Hadassah due to their shared delight in all living things.

I know you will enjoy these beautiful herbal products by Anna, and benefit from the heart and soul she poured into her work.

And now, some more details about each of Anna's products:

Spring Tonic Vinegar

Anna writes: "Spring tonics have long been used to kick-start the body back into action after a sedentary winter. In winter, we not only slow down considerably, but we also tend to eat more carbohydrate-rich foods and meat. Our digestion slows down and often we put on a little bit of weight. Spring is the natural season in which to fast. Food is lean in the garden, apart from lost of greens - which happen to be our spring tonic herbs. This spring tonic was made with dandelion leaf, chickweed and cleavers. Cleavers helps the movement of lymph around the body; chickweed is nutritive, full of Omega 3s, 6s and Vitamin C. Chickweed helps break up mucous in the body and lowers cholesterol. Dandelion leaves make a great addition to this vinegar by cleansing the liver & blood and flushing the kidneys. To use: take 1-2 tablespoons each morning in warm water or add to salad dressings, soups & stews."

Pine Oil

Anna writes: "This oil is made from finely chopped pine needles infused in quality hemp seed oil. It is beneficial when used topically for acne, fungal infections and as an anti-inflammatory massage oil for sore joints & muscles. Pine Oil is also rich in Vitamins A and C and may be consumed internally, such as in a salad dressing."

Circulation Supporting Hawthorn Elixir

Anna writes: "Hawthorn is an amazing adaptogen, bringing balance to the body. It has an affinity for the heart and blood, and may help regulate blood pressure, heart rate and also is helpful for supporting grief and heartbreak. It is also wonderful for chilblains, poor circulation and cold hands & feet."
