This tincture is a blend of herbs traditionally used to ease excessive menstrual cramps and period pain.

The Cramp-ease tincture is not suitable to use during pregnancy, but may be used safely during breastfeeding.

It contains herbal extracts of:

Black Haw (Viburnum prunifolium) -this herb is a uterine spasmolytic (reduces uterine spasm) found helpful for spasmodic dysmenorrhoea.

Crampbark (Viburnum opulus) - with muscle relaxant and anti-spasmodic actions, this herb also nourishes and soothes the nervous system with its nervine and sedative effects.

Corydalis (Corydalis ambigua) – this herb is a mild sedative and analgesic, with a particular affinity for spasmodic and visceral pain. Corydalis soothes emotional stress and anxiety and is useful for dysmenorrhoea (painful period cramps), showing its effectiveness for uterine spasm (This herb should not be used during pregnancy).

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) - this warming herb has been used to treat the pain of spasmodic dymenorrhoea and endometriosis. Relaxes spasm & soothes stressed nerves.

Wild Yam (Dioscorea villosa) - with anti-spasmodic and hormone-modulating actions, this herb has a special affinity for female reproductive organs. Wild Yam is considered helpful for menstrual spasm and reduces

The minimum dose is 5 ml (two droppers-ful).

Take up to 4 doses daily.

Add to a little water or juice and drink.

If there are particular herbs you would like to swap in or out to suit your needs, please leave a note and check out to advise us, and we'll take care of that for you.

I suggest drinking the Moon Cycle Bliss Cramp-ease Tea in conjunction with this tincture. I have left Raspberry Leaf and Calendula out of the tincture so that you can take these lovely herbs in the form of the tea. Raspberry Leaf is an excellent uterine tonic and a boon for all women of child-bearing age and beyond. Calendula is anti-inflammatory and lymphatic and seems to reduce the congestion that contributes to painful period cramps. Drink the tea from a few days before you expect your bleed, until the end of bleeding. In addition, use the Cramp-ease Tincture on the days of strong cramping.
