A blend of herbs considered to be febrifuge herbs, used traditionally to manage fever and support the immune system.

This blend contains 100% Australian Certified Organic:

Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) - anti-inflammatory, carminative, mild sedative and diaphoretic - which means it addresses fever by inducing seating and support the body's response to infection.

Elderflower (Sambucus nigra) - a diaphoretic, heat-clearing herb, helpful for various fevers.

Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) - a bitter, anti-inflammatory herb with anti-pyretic action, also helpful for headaches.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) - an anti-inflammatory and diaphoretic herb, helpful for managing fever.

Lemongrass

Limeblossom (Tilia cordata) - and diaphoretic and mild sedative herb, helpful for fever, the common cold and also to reduce anxiety and support healing sleep.

Vervain (Verbena officinalis) - a nervine tonic and diaphoretic herb, helpful for the common cold and fever, and also to soothe the nervous system and reduce anxiety and irritability.

White Willow or Willow Bark (Salix alba) - called "nature's aspirin", this herb addresses pain and fever. While it is found to be an effective herb, it is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in the case of allergy to salicylates or when using anti-coagulant or anti-platelet medications.

Safety notes:

* If pregnant: avoid Feverfew and White Willow.

* If sensitive to Salicylates, avoid White Willow. Also called Willow Bark, some sources suggest avoiding this herb in children under age 16, due to the slight risk of Reyes Syndrome as observed in Aspirin use.

Let me know if these apply and I will leave out these ingredients for you.

If a child has a fever over 38.5 degrees Celsius for more than 24 hours, seek advice from your chosen health care professional.

  1. brought down my fever

I took this like an experiment to see how it would work compared to Panadol. It tastes nice and it made me sleepy. I had a good nap and when I woke up, my fever had gone and I felt a lot better. No headache, achey muscles much less.
