This delicious tea contains nourishing herbal galactagogues to boost milk supply. Drink from 36 weeks onwards, to support a plentiful milk supply after birth.
This tea is ideal for case of IGT (Insufficient Glandular Tissue).
The Prep for Breastfeeding Tea contains:
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) - an oestrogen-modulating and highly nutritious herb which boosts milk production.
Chastetree (Vitex agnus-castus) – a hormone balancing herb, indirectly progesterogenic, also a galactogogue (builds milk supply).
Goat’s Rue (Galega officinalis) – an effective milk-making galactogogue which stimulates the mammary glands. Studies indicate that this herb, taken in the last weeks of pregnancy, supports post natal milk supply, even in cases of Insufficient Glandular Tissue (IGT).
Hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa) – rich in anti-oxidants and great for general health – I’ve added it in because it tastes lovely – a tangy, fruity flavour. And makes your tea pink!
Nettle (Urtica dioica) – a nutritious herb, rich in iron, calcium and Vitamin K, which is also a galactogogue.
Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) – a highly nutritive herb and uterine tonic, nourishing for the entire female reproductive tract.
Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) – hormone balancer, may assist underdeveloped mammary glands.
Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) – a general tonic and galactogogue, promotes lactation.
